Manipal Academy of Higher Education, formerly known as Manipal University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate diploma and super specialty programs in various streams like Engineering, Applied Sciences, Life Sciences, Humanities, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and more. 

Admissions to these courses are based on the results of the MU-OET (Manipal University Online Entrance Test), which is held at several centers across the country. From this year onwards, the MU-OET is referred to as MET (Manipal Entrance Test). Admissions to the MBBS programme offered by the institute is based on NEET scores, and for the MB programme admission is made by CAT, MAT, XAT or CMAT scores. 




The MET – 2018  

It’s an online entrance test that tests the aptitude of students and awards, admission based on merit basis. It’s a computer-based test and students are required to be familiar with the use of keyboard and mouse to take this test. The test is conducted in English.

The MET (Manipal Entrance Test) consists of MCQ (multiple choice questions), and there is only one correct answer for each question. Students will be provided with blank paper at the exam center for rough work, and no other paper is permitted into the test hall. 

Manipal University Entrance Exam – Scoring Pattern

For M.Tech/M.E – Each correct answer carries four marks, and wrong answers result in one negative mark. Unattempted questions, don’t carry any negative marking.

For all other courses – Each correct answer is awarded one mark. There is no negative marking for a wrong answer or unanswered questions.

Exam Syllabus

The Manipal Entrance syllabus covers the subjects handled in class 11 and 12 in school. 

●For B.Tech – the subjects covered include Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English

●For B.Pharm and PharmD (for Biology students) – the topics include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English

●For B.Pharm and PharmD (for Maths students) – the subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English

Exam Results

The final score of the candidate is displayed on the screen immediately, on completion of the test. The invigilator then prints the scorecard, once the candidate acknowledges the score. Once students receive the Manipal University entrance exam results after completing their test, they have to wait till the merit list is put up on the site. Based on the merit list, students are called for counselling to choose their preferred course.

What Should You Know About CDS 2 Admit Card 2018?

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the CDS II 2018 examination in November on 18th November 2018. Candidates will get the  UPSC CDS II 2018 admit card in 1st week of November month. The card is easy to download, and candidates can do so by entering their registration number and their DOB or date of birth from the website.  This is a bi-annual examination, which the UPSC conducts twice a year. After the written examination, candidates will be called for SSB Interview. Candidates need to remember but only clearing the cut-off marks are called in for an interview. Since the exam is to be held on the 18th November, admit cards have to be downloaded before that and will not be available thereafter.
