CTET 2018 Entrance Exam Notification Released- Check All the Details Now

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test, popularly known as CTET, is a bi-annual national-level entrance exam to help candidates qualify for teaching jobs in government schools. The paper is divided into two categories- Paper 1 (Primary) for teaching jobs from class 1 to 5 and Paper 2 (Elementary) for teaching positions from class 6 to 8.

CTET 2018 Exam Date

CBSE, the administering body of the CTET exam, has recently announced that the next CTET 2018would be conducted on September 16, 2018. It is an offline exam which can be taken in many different languages. The exam is held in more than 90 cities throughout the country along with two international locations- Dubai and Riyadh.

CTET 2018 Online Application Form

As per the 29 May 2018 notification, the CTET 2018 application form was to be released on 22 June 2018. However, as per the recently released announcement of 19 June 2018, this has now been delayed. The new application form release date is expected to be announced by the board soon.

CTET Exam Pattern

The CTET is a 150-mark exam with 150 MCQs and a duration of 150 minutes. Every correct answer can get you one mark, and there is no negative marking in this exam.  While the exam was only held in English and Hindi in the past, this year it’d be held in many different languages, including Marathi, Urdu, Telugu, Manipuri, Gujarati, Nepali, Malayalam, and many other languages as per the recent tweet of the HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.

CTET 2018 Syllabus

The CTET 2018 syllabus is divided into five subjects each for Paper 1 and Paper 2.

For Paper 1 (Primary), the subjects are-

●Child Development and Pedagogy
●Language I
●Language II
●Mathematics
●Environmental Studies

For Paper 2 (Elementary)-

●Child Development and Pedagogy
●Language I
●Language II
●Mathematics and Science
●Social Sciences

As soon as the application form is available, students can start reserving their seat for the exam by paying the exam fee online. Admit card for the same would be issued in August 2018. What Should You Know About CDS 2 Admit Card 2018?

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the CDS II 2018 examination in November on 18th November 2018. Candidates will get the  UPSC CDS II 2018 admit card in 1st week of November month. The card is easy to download, and candidates can do so by entering their registration number and their DOB or date of birth from the website.  This is a bi-annual examination, which the UPSC conducts twice a year. After the written examination, candidates will be called for SSB Interview. Candidates need to remember but only clearing the cut-off marks are called in for an interview. Since the exam is to be held on the 18th November, admit cards have to be downloaded before that and will not be available thereafter.
