Tips and Tricks to Crack Gate 2019 Exam

GATE is a yearly exam conducted by the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE by the seven IITs and the Bangalore-based IISC. The board has now released the GATE 2019 registration and application submission dates. Candidates can check all the details here.



Important Dates 

●Registration starts from 1st September 2018.
●Last date of form online submission- 21st September 2018.
●Extended date for late form submission- 1st October 2018.

Application Procedure

●Candidates need to register themselves on the official website, i.e. gate.iitm.ac.in.
●After registration, candidates need to enter all the information and fill up the GATE 2019 Application form.
●After form submission, candidates need to upload specific documents and photos as asked. Next, they are requested to print out the physical copy of the form for further reference.

Eligibility Criteria

●Candidates need to complete a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree to appear for the exam.
●Students in their final year of graduation course can also apply for the exam.
●No pass percentage is required to sit for the exam.

Tips and Tricks

GATE 2019 exam is certainly not a cake walk. The exam is a concept based exam covering almost the entire course of B tech (discipline wise). Hence, candidates must be well prepared to take part in the exam. Listed below are some of the tips which candidates may follow to score well in the exam.

●Candidates need to start preparing for the exam from the third year of graduation. Preparing a timetable and dedicating 4-5 hours each day for GATE 2019 exam would be a good idea.

●GATE follows the discipline-specific syllabus. So, candidates need to cover their academic syllabus well and clear out all the basic concepts.

●Candidates need to put the difficult subjects as their first priority while GATE preparation.

●Once the syllabus is completed, candidates need to follow online lecture videos, specific GATE-related blogs, and student discussion forums.

●Candidates need to practice sample question papers from various books and online resources. Solving previous year GATE papers would be a good idea.


Practice is the main key to crack the GATE exam in the very first attempt. Hence, candidates must practice solving GATE related question papers daily to master the art of cracking entrance examinations.

What Should You Know About CDS 2 Admit Card 2018?

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the CDS II 2018 examination in November on 18th November 2018. Candidates will get the  UPSC CDS II 2018 admit card in 1st week of November month. The card is easy to download, and candidates can do so by entering their registration number and their DOB or date of birth from the website.  This is a bi-annual examination, which the UPSC conducts twice a year.
